Ms. Marilyn Harrison will be retiring after this week after 16 years as custodian at GHS. We gave her a crystal service award as a token of our gratitude and appreciation. Thank you for everything Ms. Marilyn, we hope you enjoy retirement!

High school students elected representatives for Parish Government Day, which will be held in the spring in Abbeville. These students stood before their peers and gave speeches this morning, then classes voted throughout the day to elect candidates to the offices they ran for.
Today, members of the GHS Band, Cheerleaders, Drama Club, and Junior Beta Club took a trip to the Gueydan Nursing Home to play, dance, act, and visit with the residents, as well as give them handmade Christmas cards and gifts.
Ms. Vanessa Maxile is retiring after this week with 35 years of service. We gave her a butcher block as a token of appreciation. Thank you for everything!
Recently the Fine Arts class enjoyed an art field trip. They visited Jacques pottery shop inside of Mr. Clints in Welsh, Louisiana. They then traveled to Jennings to visit the Ziegler museum and ended the trip at the Tupper Museum on Main Street.
