Happy first day of school Pirates! We are very excited for our students to join us for the 2023-2024 School Year! The campus will open at 7:05 today. If your child is a bus rider, please ensure that you allow extra time in that the routes are new and may need a little time to get down to a routine. If your child is a walker, please ensure that they cross at the crosswalk at school for safety. If your child is a car rider, please be patient and follow the drop-off procedures for safety reasons. We also ask that parents pull up to drop off three cars at a time to ensure the flow and timeliness of the line. Please have a conversation with your child about how they will be getting home this afternoon. Clubs, organizations, and sports will begin advertising to students soon. After a successful administrator conference to start the 23 - 24 school year, it is exciting to begin our relentless pursuit to excellence!

Scores for the LEAP 2025 for last year's students in grades 3-8 are now posted in the parent command center. Score reports will be sent home by individual schools at the beginning of the school year.

Child Nutrition Program Summer Food Service Program 2023 The summer is here, and it is time to think about keeping children healthy while school is out. The Vermilion Parish School System will be providing a free breakfast and lunch to children during the summer through the Summer Food Service Program. There is no registration required. There is no cost to attend. Any child age 18 and under may come to eat. Acceptance and participating requirements for the program and all activities are the same for all regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity in any program or activity conducted or funded by USDA, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.
