Read Across America Days 2026 (UPDATED VERSION)

Monday, March 2, 2026-Celebrate Dr. Seuss! “One Fish, Two Fish”-Students may wear a red or blue shirt with uniform bottoms.  It will also be “Cat In The Hat Day”-Students may wear their favorite hat or crazy socks. Any Dr. Seuss shirt will be allowed with uniform bottoms.

Tuesday, March 3, 2026-“Don’t Let the Pigeon Stay Up Late” by  Mo Willems-Students can wear their favorite PJs to school. They can wear two piece sets or gowns with shorts/leggings underneath. Leggings cannot be worn as pajama pants! No slippers or onesies allowed. Regular school shoes must be worn. We will allow the same as January Bonus Pajama days!

Wednesday, March 4, 2026-“Pete the Cat and His Magic Sunglasses” written by James Dean. Students may wear their favorite sunglasses to school!

Thursday, March 5, 2026- “The Sour Grape” by Jory John- Don’t Be a Sour Grape-students can wear bright colored/neon shirt with accessories to brighten their day! ****Uniform bottoms MUST be worn!

Friday, March 6, 2026-“Touchdown Triumph” by Jake Maddox- Students may wear a shirt that represent any sport. Example: football, basketball, Team VooDoo Cheer, Saints, LSU, UL, etc. Jerseys may be worn with a tshirt underneath if they are sleeveless/netted, etc. Students must wear uniform bottoms or if they opt, they can wear jeans/athletic pants for $1. 
***It is also $1 Jean/Athletic pants day!
