No School for Vermilion Parish, Monday, January 26, 2026.
Vermilion Parish schools will be closed on Monday after consultation with the National Weather Service and the Office of Emergency Preparedness.
Concern for ice on the roads, a wind chill projected in the single digits and water being turned off played a role in the decision.
A call out will be going out around 1:00 pm with the official notice to all families.
If an extension of this school closure becomes necessary, we will inform you at that time.
NOTE: Wednesday, January 28th was originally scheduled to be a 1/2 day of school. IT IS NOW A FULL DAY.
