Dozier Elementary Teacher of the Year!
Dozier Elementary Principal Andrea Ford announced on October 31, 2023 at an assembly, that Mikel LeBlanc was named the “Teacher of the Year” for their school.
She is a 2015 Erath High graduate and who graduated from the University of Louisiana with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education in 2019. In the summer of 2022, she earned her Master’s Degree, as well.
Her family was on hand for the announcement to congratulate her. Ms. Mikel is a 4th grade Teacher at Dozier Elementary
She has been at Dozier Elementary since 2020. She taught at Kapan Elementary prior to that.
Ms. Mikel is the daughter of Darlene Suire LeBlanc and Glen LeBlanc. Her brother Dillon Boudreaux, is also a teacher in Vermilion Parish.
