Please complete this short survey if you are interested in your child taking all courses online through the Virtual Vermilion Program. Click this link if interested in full-time virtual for your child.
Athletes that are enrolled in the Vermilion Parish School Board virtual program are automatically eligible.
We welcome Andrea Ford as our new Principal and DeEtte Bigot as our new Assistant Principal.

To the parents of upcoming 2020-2021 PreK Dozier Elementary students,
Due to COVID 19 school cancellation in March, Dozier Elementary's face to face PreK registration had to be canceled.
Some parents did have issues with the electronic method. We wanted to let everyone know that there is a paper registration that is also available now at the Vermilion Parish School Board Office. The information is below.
At this time, our Dozier Elementary PreK numbers are low. If you haven't done so yet, please register your child as soon as possible if you are interested in your child attending PreK at Dozier during the 2020-2021 year.
Pre-K registration for Dozier is in two forms at this time. You can do it ONLINE @ https://vermilion.edgear.net/register or by PAPER PICKUP and dropoff methods. Both sets of directions are below.
I. PREK ONLINE METHOD:
1. To register ONLINE, you can go through the VP website @ https://www.vpsb.net/
2. There is a link at the top of the page that is labeled "NEW! 2020-21 Online Pre-K & K Registration." Click that. READ the directions on that page.
II. PREK PAPER PICK UP METHOD:
If you can't complete it online, please know that you can pick up and complete paper applications. Paper applications are available on a cart at the school board office near the entrance doors to the Charles Campbell building. Once paper applications are completed, return to the dropbox located in the same area. Address for the Vermilion Parish School Board Office is 220 S Jefferson St., Abbeville, LA 70510. Pick up is in the Charles Campbell Building. PLEASE NOTE: Starting on June 8, 2020, until July 17. 2020, the Central Office hours will be 7:30-3:30 PM from Monday through Thursday and from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM on Fridays.
Contact PreK Facilitator Lola Vallaire-Thomas at (337) 740-5905 or email her at email@example.com for questions. If you did register and haven’t received any type of notification, contact Mrs. Lola to verify that your information was received online.
2020-2021 Kindergarten Registration
This is for only “new to the school” kindergarten students. If your child attended PreK at Dozier Elementary during 2019-2020, there is NO need to do this. They are automatically moved up.
Kindergarten registration is available in two forms this year. Kindergarten Directions are below:
1. You can go through the Vermilion Parish website, where there is a link at the top of page at https://www.vpsb.net. The Kindergarten Registration Link online is @ https://vermilion.edgear.net/register.
2. If parents prefer not to do it online, there are aper applications are available on a cart at the school board office near the entrance doors to the Charles Campbell building. Once paper applications are completed, return to the dropbox located in the same area. PLEASE NOTE: Starting on June 8, 2020, until July 17. 2020, the Central Office hours will be 7:30-3:30 PM from Monday through Thursday and from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM on Fridays.
For Kindergarten Information, you may contact Assistant Superintendent Ellen Arceneaux @ 898-5755.
Earlier notice that was posted in May 2020. Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the Vermilion Parish School board has created an online registration system to accommodate all families who need to complete KINDERGARTEN registration. If your child was enrolled in Pre-K in a Vermilion Parish public school for the 2019-2020 school year, you do not need to register the child for Kindergarten. All families who need to complete registration for KINDERGARTEN in any Vermilion Parish school should follow the link https://vermilion.edgear.net/register/ for the Online Registration Systems (ORS). The system opened on Monday, May 18, 2020. Please be prepared to upload your child’s birth certificate, social security card/number, immunization record, and proof of residency information: electric bill and 2nd proof of residence.
New student registration for “new to the school” students will be posted once a plan is in place. Please keep checking back.
