Meetings set up to help parents with preschool enrollment process
Pre-K round-ups start March 18

Enrollment time for preschool is coming soon. The requirements and enrollment process have changed creating a need to provide families with more help and support to understand all of the new information. This year, the Vermilion Parish Early Childhood Network will be hosting Enrollment
Support Meetings in February. Lola Thomas, Early Childhood Facilitator
for Vermilion Parish School System, said the meetings are open to all Vermilion Parish families who want assistance with completing the preliminary application and learning how the new enrollment
process will work for our programs. “Parents will receive help with completing
the initial application and will be provided an explanation on how to complete
registration into any early childhood program including pre-k,” Thomas
said.

At the meeting, parents will be provided the preliminary application to
complete with guidance from the program facilitators. Also, the list of required
documents to complete registration will be provided and reviewed with
all attendees.

“Questions will be answered for all participants,” Thomas said. There will be meetings from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Abbeville branch of
