The Louisiana Department of Education has scheduled statewide assessments (LEAP) for April 29-May 3 for grades 3-5.  The 3rd and 4th graders’ test will be pencil/paper format.  The 5th grade students will be taking a computer based test.   The LEAP tests are fully aligned to the Common Core State Standards and will be used in English Language Arts (ELA), Math, Science and Social Studies. These tests are very important!  Please note: Unless your child is sick, he/she should be at school every day and on time. Have them do homework every day.  Please monitor your child’s work/progress and make studying a part of your child’s daily routine. do.
